Well defined placement policy help students to pursue their dreams. College conducts campus placement drives from different sectirs such as Manufacturind, Automobile, Service Sectors- Bank & Insurence, Constrictions, IT and Tles etc.
Placement and Career Guidance Cell is the link between Industry and students. Created for interaction and familiarization of students with the recruiting organizations and their work profile. The motive of the placement cell is to develop employable skills among students and help them select right profile job.
In Placement and Career Guidance Cell, students were trained through seminars, lectures from Industry trainers, HR managers, role play, preplacement talks, workshops etc.in order to develop practical approach to tackle any challenge in the real life situations. Following activities were conducted during the year.
As an initiative to provide students a strong platform in Placement & Career Guidance the college formed the placement pool and invited other colleges in Pune to be a part of the placement pool. Colleges Participated in the placement pool
The college organised a placement fair on 13th February 2015 for the students of BBA, B.COM, BBM(IB), BCA, MCA at Garware college campus. The event , planned under the guidance of BBA Co ordinator Mrs Tanuja Devi drew a fantastic response from various companies and colleges. More than 20 companies took part in the placement fair and around 500 students participated in the fair making it a huge success.
Prominent companies like TCS, Infosys, Just Dial, Eureka forbes, Atos and other companies from various fields took part in the placement drive to hire the students. Students from various parts of Maharashtra took part in the fair and were benefitted to the most. Since more than 150 students got placed in various companies. Students managed to bag attractive packages ranging from Rs 2 to3.5 lacs
Garware college of Commerce had also organised a special workshop with’ Government Employment Exchange bureau’ for the students to educate regarding various schemes and programmes and employment opportunities offered by the central and state government. It was an interactive and informative session for the students.
All the companies were satisfied with the arrangements made by the college and majority of the companies were happy with the level and quality of the students and all the companies expressed their desire to participate next year too. The companies thanked the college authorities for organising the Placement drive as all the companies got a great bunch of talent under one roof.
