The College Library has a rich collection of around 45000 books, which includes text books, reference books, journals a. periodicals. The library subscribes to 70 periodicals including core journals, e-journals, popular magazines and daily news papers. The college library also has a membership of certain other libraries in the city and students can avail of the facilities of these other libraries 00 001 The list of other libraries is given below

The central library is located on the first floor of the college building in Hall No.14. Reading Hall is in the adjacent building on the ground floor.

Library Membership

Every student after taking admission in the college becomes member of the library. The library card as well as Identity Card of the college is issued to the student on submission of the fee receipt and a recent photograph.

Books 40000+, Periodicals, news papers, Educational and Classic CDs The library also has a collection of audiovisual materials that include videocassettes, videotapes, audiotapes, old gramophone records, CD-ROMs, floppies, transparencies.

Suggestion Box

New books and periodicals are regularly added as per the recommendations of teachers and students. Suggestion boxes are kept in the main library and reading hall for your recommendations.

Library Facilities

Library facilities are available for all the students of this college. Students are allowed to borrow one book at a time for seven days. Students of Vocational Taxation and Vocational Computer are issued an additional library card and get one more additional book of their subject. Students appearing for professional examinations like CA, CS, ICWA etc. are issued an additional library card facility by paying Rs.300/- as deposit. From time to time different notices are displayed on the notice board of the library. A list of new arrival of books is displayed on the notice board. New books arrived in the library are also displayed in the showcase of the library. A total list of textbooks from different authors of different subjects of 11th to T.Y.B.Com. is displayed for ready reference for the students. The Library has Computerized Search Facility.

Reading Hall Facilitiess

• Textbooks for current reading - A total set of all textbooks from 11th to M.Com are kept for Current Reading to the students. Students get these textbooks to read in the reading hall only.

• Daily Newspapers

• Periodicals - The library subscribes different periodicals including core journals from well -known publishers, popular magazines, daily newspapers, and special Diwali Issues. These periodicals are displayed on the display rack and issued to the students for current reading only against their Identity Cards. They get back issues of the periodicals for Home reading.

• Paper sets - The library provides paper sets of last five examinations. These paper sets are kept in the reading hall of the library for current reading only and also for photocopying the same.

• Syllabus

• Reference Section - The library possesses different kind of reference sources like encyclopedias, dictionaries, handbooks, directories, and gazettes. These sources are very useful for commerce students and they get this material for current reading purpose by submitting their Identity Card on the counter.Different kinds of notices, displays are organized in the reading hall. Students should take a note of them.

Book Bank

In this scheme students get one set of textbooks till the final examinations after paying nominal fees. Refer academic calendar for the schedule of the book bank.

Book exhibition

The library organizes two book exhibitions every year. At the beginning of the academic year an exhibition of the prescribed syllabus textbooks is organized in the reading hall of the library. Students get an opportunity to view all the textbooks available in the market and purchase them at the discount of 15%.
Another exhibition is arranged along with the prize distribution function in the month of February where four to five prominent booksellers in the Pune city having specialization in different branches of knowledge participate. The wide range of books covers all the major aspects of commerce, computer and many other general subjects like literature, arts, philosophy etc. Students get opportunity to purchase their favorite books at discounted prices.

Discipline in the Library

1. Damages and Loss

In case of damages or loss of a book the borrower is asked to replace the same book of the new and latest edition. If the book is not available in the market, the market price plus replacement fine is charged from the user. Reminder calls or letters are sent to the students from library. The library till recovery of the book holds results of such students.

2. Fine for defaulters

The fine for late return of books is Re.1/- per day.
Fine for taking home the current reading and reference books is Rs.5/- per day.
The students are allowed to submit books late and pay fine only for three times in one year. Such warnings are marked on the library card. After third warning, library card gets canceled and student doesn’t get any book for home issue in that academic year.

Clearance Certificate

Students get books during the vacation period after their examinations. Issuing stops around ten days before the result. Students have to submit their books before result. A “NO DUES CERTIFICATE” is issued to the borrower who has cleared his/her account.
For serious study a calm and peaceful atmosphere is necessary and therefore the readers are requested to maintain such an atmosphere in the library. They are advised not to do such things causing disturbance to others. Any person-creating nuisance is at once removed form the library.

Refund of Library Deposit

A student after completion of the final year will get refund of Caution Money and Library Deposit. For refund of CMLD, a student is required to return all the library books, identity card and reading cards. A student must obtain "No Dues" Stamp on the original receipt from the Library.
